What does "Pura Vidya" actually mean?

"La Pura Vida" - that's how the feeling of pure joie de vivre is called in Costa Rica. Happy, relaxed, light, at peace with yourself. Luckily, you don't have to travel to Costa Rica to get that wonderful feeling. It lives in us. Yoga and fresh, pure food help us to connect body and mind and to feel good in our own skin. Through yoga we attain "vidya": wisdom, or insight (from Sanskrit). And because that's such a nice play on words, "Pura Vidya" came about.

my story

I'm Katrin Streich, an enthusiastic "Yogini" for over 18 years, nutrition expert and passionate cook. My work as a yoga teacher, and specifically immersing myself in anatomy, has helped me to better understand, care for, and respect my body (with all its limitations).

For 15 years I was traveling in Asia and Europe. As a diving instructor, I was able to travel to distant countries and discover the wondrous underwater world together with many diving students.

My greatest passion is to inspire people to bring them closer to the wonder of nature and their own body in a fun and understandable way. To motivate them to take care of their bodies and souls. I've been vegan for years and I think it's fantastic. My daily yoga practice allows me to feel fresh and full of energy every day. I want you to experience this wonderful feeling of well-being in your own body
